We will then fly our planes and measure the distances of each flight. Record the distance of each flight in feet and inches. Please record a minimum of at least 15 flights. As you find the mean, or average, of sets of data, observe that the mean may not be a member of the set. The mode is not a very useful measure since many sets of data have several modes. A set of data with two modes is called bimodal. The median is the middle point of a group of numbers.
